BHU Fit Protein Bars

Pronounced ”Boo” these bars are relatively new on the scene  where their names means ”Of the Earth” in Sanskrit. The idea behind these bars is to provide a healthy bar that you would fee good about eating, filled with healthy and natural super-foods.

These bars come in a multitude of flavors – 7 to be exact but I was only able to pick up 4 of those flavors as Vitamin Shoppe store’s only stock certain ones (those pictured) if you want all of them you must order online via the website. The bars are a little more costly than most bars, regular price at Vitamin Shoppe are $39.99 for a box of 12 or I believe $3.39 each, unless they’re on special offer which just so happen they are right now ($32.99 per box)

Flavors (Vitamin Shoppe):
– Salted Caramel and Pecan
– Apple, Cinnamon and Nutmeg
– Double Dark Chocolate Chip
– Dark Chocolate Coconut Almond

Additional via the BHU Foods website:

– Vanilla Almond Cashew
– Chocolate Tart Cherry Pistachio
– Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip

Made from Prebiotic Fiber from Tapioca and grass fed Whey Protein you can tell these are ”healthy” bars but don’t compromise on taste. So far I have only tried the Salted Caramel and Pecan but am already a fan and eager to try every other flavor too.

Salted Caramel and Pecan Bar:

– 13g Protein
– 17g Fat
– 10g Carbs
(220 Cal / 150 from Fat)
These also contain 9g of Fiber and just 1g of Sugar

Appearance: Smooth and the little bits of Pecan and other ingredients are clearly visible

Smell: Strong Nutty presence, a little sweet with a slight hint of Vanilla

Texture: Soft, chewy.

Taste: The Pecan’s really shine through in this bar with I feel the Salted Caramel taking a back seat. Just enough sweetness to make you feel you’re having  a treat.

I’m really excited to have found these as I’m always on the lookout for a way to get extra Protein while on the go and cannot wait to try the other flavors.
